PEG Africa (also known as PEG) is a for profit, asset financing solar power company operating in West Africa. The company provides loans for pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar power home systems to households that do not have access to an electrical grid. The loans are repaid by customers in small increments, using mobile payment.
The Sales Strategy and Coordination team is the hub of spearheading and delivering operational excellence for the Sales team and, by extension, the entire business. The team is the heart of the Sales team and is responsible for managing coordination of Sales activities that save and improve the value of sales activities. The role is also the hub of operational control hub for delivery of sales initiatives and plans and would be involved in ideation and initiation of new growth business areas.
The Sales Coordination team forms the core of Commercial Operations works closely with the Regional Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure all necessary support is provided for delivery of sales targets. The role requires strong self-leadership, stakeholder management, a high level of attention to detail and spontaneity. It also involves travelling up to 10% of the time.
Managing the operational performance and budget of the Sales team using regularly prepared reports and analyses
Co-designing and implementing sales incentive structures and performance management frameworks required to drive stellar performance by the Sales team
Working with stakeholders and the Operations team to ensure seamless, timely implementation of sales plans and activities as well as follow-through for results
Periodically reviewing existing and creating new processes, procedures and policies that enable a smooth, flawless sales process
Managing performance meetings and strategy sessions across the country
Serving as a conduit for information dissemination between the key stakeholders in the business and the Sales team in the field
The successful candidate must have:
Strong analytical and commercial acumen
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Professional Qualification in a related field would be an advantage
