Coaches and develops the team, as such that the full talent potential is being utilised. Manages the performance management and development cycle with employees and provides them with feedback/forward information on individual performances including appraisals.
Market Risk policy
Advises to improve the added value of Market risk for AAC. Contrives and discusses the market risk policy, in line with the regional risk policy. Translates approved policies into specific procedures and guidelines, taking into account the regulations and policies of external regulators. Informs employees about changes and ensures the right use of procedures.
Annual plan/ Work organization
Draws up an annual plan, in line with the regional risk policy, in order to enable steering on the department results and to deliver a maximum contribution to the objectives of the risk department. Prioritizes and assigns the tasks of the department and translates them in operational activities. Estimates the needed resources and budget and plans the department activities.
Keeps up with developments in financial markets, trading products and in market risk management. Assesses market and product changes and analyzes possible consequences in order to strengthen the risk management framework of AAC.
Advises about changes in (new) financial products and in the clients’ trading strategy (concerning all asset classes and trading strategies) to ensure market risks are mitigated and within limits and risk appetite of AAC. Advises the business about possibilities to optimize the risk/ return ratio.
Regional market risk performances
Manages and controls the results of the regional Market Risk activities, among others in regional project boards and risk committees. Invents and proposes adjustments in objectives, plans and budgets.
Market risk reports
Provides consolidated reports about performed risk analyses for management, clients and regulators. Expounds identified risks and the mitigating measures that followed.
Provides complete insight in the clients positions and potential market risks. Risk framework and awareness
Advises in the development of market risk models and tools. Initiates the integration and implementation of risk models and thoughts in business’ and clients’ acting.Your working environmentThe services of ABN AMRO Clearing (Financing, Direct Market Access, Clearing and post trade services) are subject to intensive national and international regulation and supervision as ABN AMRO Clearing has been designated as systemically important with respect to the securities domain. As such it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks and being in control is therefore critical with regards to all AAC processes. ABN AMRO Clearing holds significant market shares in financial markets across the globe holding top spots in clearing on numerous exchanges in every region, clearing anything from 10 to 20 million trades per day.
