- Cleaning
- Wash all kitchen, function and service dishes, cups and glasses and returning them to their designated area.
- Regularly check dish bins areas in Bar and Restaurant, bring dirty dishes to the dish area and replace bins with empty ones
- Keep a tidy dish area and leaving clean and empty of dishes at the end of your shift, including back sink
- Brake down and taking out cardboard
- Take out recycling when full and make sure they are filled with the right stuff
- Fill empty oil jugs with old oil and keeping the area clean
- Weekly cleaning duties
- Prep work
- Roll bacon
- Peel carrots, onions and potatoes
- Portion prepped items: wings, yam fries, onion rings, sandwich meat, falafels, burger patties etc.
- Label, date, initial and store prepped items using FIFO method
- Cut and soak fries and hash browns and keeping cutting area clean
- Closing
- Sweep and mop at the end of shift
- Take out restaurant recycling, garbage, cleaning garbage chute and changing drink bucket
- Fill out Dish Checklist everyday
- Other related duties might include:
- Handle a knife safely
- Help to put away food orders when asked
- Assist fellow employees at every opportunity possible to ensure guests are always completely satisfied.
- Assist in other kitchen areas when needed and asked by 1st Cook, Sous-Chef or Chef.
- Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions
- Willing to learn new techniques and apply them
