A health solutions company focused on improving the health and well-being of underserved populations across the world, is looking to recruit their future New Business Development Executive, to be based in Ghana. You will work from home, travel extensively (60%) and directly report to the Vice-President – New Business Development based in the United States.
The New Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with implementing organization, funders and governments in Ghana. Our overall goal is to develop partnerships and create solutions that significantly boost the health impact of development projects, leading to healthier lives.
You will work closely with the Growth team, Client Success team & Product Engineering team to expand the business interests in Ghana, with a principle focus on the implementing community (local and international) and key focus donors (USAID, CDC, Global Fund and GAVI) in the public health and supply chain space.
Track principally local government, USAID, CDC, Global Fund, GAVI and other international donor strategies and projects to identify projects and generate leads for projects Ghana
Through your extensive contact base, meet with leaders of local and international organizations and donors to identify new leads and potential new markets
Travel to target country to develop new leads and opportunities
Work directly with the Marketing & Communications team in planning and executing Marketing events in the region
Keep current with industry trends and best practices and continuously seek ways to improve
Support the development and execution of strategic country plans
Support the preparation and delivery of high impact presentations, effectively representing the business and value proposition
Maintain a proficient knowledge of products, services and capabilities across the organization to ensure relevant and informed client interactions
Work with the New Business Development Team to meet and exceed assigned Qualified and Unqualified Lead quota and early stage new business identification
Maintain and update daily the Growth pipeline on the CRM
Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned new business leads and opportunities quota and early stage new business identification
Work closely with the VP New Business Development and Sales Executive.
Identifying target accounts, generating leads and opportunities by tracking public and private sales opportunities
Become an expert in your domain, develop appropriate technical expertise, understand the solutions and the competitors, and bring energy and conviction to your customer conversations
Understand the broad data analytics environment, along with standard development work
Perform high-level administrative tasks, doing what it takes to develop sales success
Participate in New Business & Growth conference calls and travel for prospect visits, providing product demonstrations in person
Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Business related course of study, or International Development)
7 -10 years’ relevant work experience
Strong business and financial acumen and professionalism
Leadership, accountability, and self-starter qualities
Excellent customer focus, strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a dynamic sales organization
Candidates must be comfortable at an executive level conversation when discussing the business impact of our solutions
Experience with or good understanding of SAAS
